When you think of certifications for trucking companies, think American Driver Training Academy. We’ll have you working for a regional car carrier, local refrigerated delivery, flatbed, or reefer truck driving company in no time with our incredible truck driver classes.
We provide stellar programs that give students trucker certifications that they can be proud of and use to have the career of their dreams. Whether you are looking to meet tractor-trailer driving qualifications, train for flatbed driving, or take dry van cargo training courses, you can find what you need at our commercial truck driving school.
At our training academy, you can finish your CDL-A training in four short weeks. Additionally, like many of our graduates, you can be employed as a commercial truck driver in the fifth week. Our full-time program provides 160 hours of truck driver classes and training, Mondays through Fridays from 7 am to 3 pm, which leaves weekends and evenings free to study and take care of your personal obligations.
All of our CDL-A training programs provide 44 hours of behind-the-wheel training, compared to the two to ten hours other schools offer. You’ll learn from instructors who’ve worked as commercial truck drivers and have held their CDL-A for 20 to 30 years. We also offer small class sizes and low student-to-truck and student-to-instructor ratios so that each student can have the best experience during training — whether they are going through 18-wheeler driver training, car hauler training, or another program. Behind-the-wheel training occurs in our specially designed one-and-a-half-acre practice facility and on major highways that run right past our campus.
We have an impressive 97% employment rate for graduates who may receive $3,000 to $10,000 in signing bonuses from leading trucking companies. Over 100 companies actively recruit drivers from American Driver Training Academy because they know our intensive training methods produce quality drivers who are an asset to their fleets. We also have an on-site career center that provides students with resources to effectively secure employment, and we provide a lifetime job placement policy for all graduates.
Through our CDL-A program, students will move through various truck driving lessons and practices to get their heavy truck driver’s license. If you’re interested in any of the following types of training, you will enjoy learning in our truck driver academy:
As a student, you can also take dry van cargo training courses and semi-truck training courses. Within a few short weeks, you will join a group of graduates who successfully got their trucker certifications and became employable truck drivers.
Because not everyone can spend their weekdays in class, we offer part-time training for truck drivers who want to keep their day job while participating in CDL training.
To accommodate a variety of schedules, we have two part-time ten-week programs. The first part-time program trains evenings, Mondays through Thursdays, from 5 pm to 9 pm. The second program, our weekend truck driver training, runs Saturdays and Sundays from 7 am to 3 pm.
Both weeknight and weekend programs train over 10 weeks and provide 160 hours of training and truck driving lessons. Whether you choose weeknight or weekend CDL training, you will have hours of behind-the-wheel training and Class A truck driving classes under your belt by the end of the program. You’ll easily ace the driving test!
Starting a new career can be daunting, but we make the process seamless when you graduate from our commercial driving school. Our Career Center is available to get you started, and if you become unemployed at any point, our Lifetime Job Placement policy can help you get back on the road. We provide numerous job leads at no additional charge! At our school, you’re not just a student looking for CDL training; we’re your lifelong truck driving partner.
Much like any other type of schooling, truck driving training for a CDL Class A license is an investment that requires time and money. Thankfully, many trucking companies offer tuition reimbursement to new drivers. It’s treated as a benefit, similar to health insurance, and doesn’t require that you sign an employment contract. New drivers may receive $100 to $300 per month over and above their salary to help recoup their initial investment in commercial driver training.
Many carriers make loan payments directly to the tuition lender on behalf of the student. Students paying truck driving tuition out of their own pocket still receive tuition reimbursement, but it’s received in their paycheck on a monthly basis. Students who seek reimbursement for truck driving tuition should choose a trucking company offering this program — after all, it’s almost like having received free truck driver training!
Once you’ve made the decision to become a commercial truck driver, the last thing that should stand between you and this goal is tuition. That’s why we have a number of financial aid options available to allow you to become certified for driving trucks no matter your financial situation. Call today to find out what scholarships and grants you may qualify for and what discounts the school is currently offering! Academy administrators will assist with arranging tuition reimbursement with your new employer if this benefit is available.
