Four Weeks Is All It Takes to Train for Your CDL-A!

At our training academy, you can complete your CDL-A training in four short weeks and become eligible for employment in the trucking industry within the fifth week. Our full-time program provides 160 hours of classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction and testing , Mondays through Fridays from 7 am to 3 pm. This leaves you with free weekends and evenings so that you can study and take care of your personal obligations.

Why Get Your Commercial Driver’s License With American Truck Driving Academy?

Every CDL-A training program we offer provides at least 48 hours  of behind-the-wheel instruction, compared to the two to ten hours other schools offer. You’ll hear advice and tips from teachers who’ve worked as commercial drivers and have held their CDL-A for 20 to 30 years. We also offer small class sizes with minimum student-to-trainer and student-to-truck ratios to allow each student to have the best experience possible. In order to teach road rules and regulations, we hold intensive behind-the-wheel sessions in our specially designed one-and-a-half-acre practice facility, as well as on major freight highways that run right past our campus.

We have an impressive 97% employment rate for graduates, who often receive $3,000 to $10,000 in signing bonuses from a variety of employers. Over 100 companies in the trucking industry actively recruit and hire drivers from American Driver Training Academy because they know our training program produces quality drivers who are an asset to their fleets. We also have an on-site career center that provides you with resources to effectively secure employment, and we provide a lifetime job placement policy for all eligible graduates.

Our Career Center is available to get you started, and if you become unemployed at any point after you’ve completed your training, our Lifetime Job Placement policy can help you get back on the road. Reimbursement for CDL School

Much like any other type of schooling, truck driving training for a CDL Class A license is an investment that requires time and money. Thankfully, many companies offer tuition reimbursement to new drivers. Paid training is treated similarly to health insurance benefits, and doesn’t require signing an employment contract. New drivers may receive $100 to $300 per month over and above their salary to help recoup their initial investment in getting their commercial driver’s license.

Many carriers make loan payments directly to the tuition lender on behalf of the student. Students paying tuition out of their own pocket may still receive tuition reimbursement, but it’s received in their paycheck on a monthly basis. Students who seek reimbursement for their time in the classroom should make sure to choose a trucking company offering a compensation program — after all, it’s almost like having received paid training!

Financial Aid for Truck Driving School

Once you’ve made the decision to become a professional trucker, the last thing that should stand between you and this goal is tuition. That’s why we have a number of financial aid options available to allow you to become certified for driving trucks no matter your financial situation.

Call today to find out what scholarships and grants you may qualify for and what discounts the school is currently offering! Academy administrators will assist with arranging tuition reimbursement with your new employer if this benefit is available. Students are also welcome to seek financial aid for truck driving school that is paid by other providers.

Student Loans

Some people seeking a certificate for trucking turn to private lenders for assistance. A credit check is required to permit this type of loan, so it may be helpful to have a cosigner.

Aid for Military Veterans

If you’re a military veteran, you may have a few options for covering the costs of your CDL training. Some employers offer veteran-specific assistance, or the Montgomery GI Bill may cover the cost of classroom time.

Scholarships and Grants

If you do not want to pursue private loans to complete truck driving school, you can apply for a scholarship or grant. Reach out to our office, and we would be happy to help you find scholarships and grants you qualify for. You may even be able to accumulate enough scholarships and grants for free truck driver training!
